Existence
This Blog has existed since May 16, 2009. I had quite a few Homepages/Blogs
before, but I never kept them long, 1 year or so. But this time I will do my best to
post daily && keep this Blog alive ;]
As time goes by, I've learnt how to code with HTML && CSS. I'm not an expert, but I
know enough to manage this Blog.
Why do I have a blog? I love writing, it doesn't matter what: songs, poems, stories,
diary or just random stuff that come up in my mind. I think I'm a creative person &&
I take delight in writing my thoughts down. I want to share memories && all the
happy moments in ma life. But I don't expect thousand comments daily. It would make
me happy when you like reading ma blog, but first of all it's something I do for me.
Sometimes I feel much better when I just write things down, no matter if someone
notices or not. Serious matter I would discuss with ma friends && family only,
bcuz for me a blog is not a diary, where u can write your deepest secrets down xD That
would be even for me too public.
Another reason is that I like to read other blogs =] There are a lot of great blogs,
which are interesting and instructive. I'm always willing to learn new things && see
things from a different perspective. So a blog is also a place where u can share &&
discuss your opinion with other people or just keep in touch with friends and others.
Domain
Because I had a few pages before, I also had different domain names. All the names were connected
with something personal. A blog is something personal && of course I want a name, which
reflects ma character && is suitable for me. So I decided to take the meaning of my name.
My vietnamese name Linh means "gentle spirit". But I don't like the "spirit" somehow^^
I think "gentle spirit" is not a suitable name for a blog, rather for describing a person. It
sounds kinda uninteresting && boring. So I replace "spirit" with "desire". I like the meaning &&
I like how those two words sound together: "Gentle-Desire". You know what I
mean? Uhm, I think not really right? xD In my mind this combination makes it sounds more
attractive to people && it kinda has a subtle influence ;]
This time I bought a toplevel domain for ma blog. I want to be more professional =P
I choose the TLD .net, that stands for network. I wanted a "neutral" TLD, none of a
country.
Why English?
Yea, I'm Vietnamese && I grew up in Germany, but I want to write in English, bcuz almost
everybody can understand English. I have a lot of friends around the world && I also
want to share things with them, not only with people here in Germany. So that's
why I decided to made an English blog. Moreover, I can improve my English right? Btw, ma
grammar is really bad I think lool.
